A recent arrival at the
science park is CareMax, whose mission is to become the European
leader in 'transforming healthcare through managed care services'.
The company was founded by Elizabeth Crocker, a successful
American entrepreneur, Registered Nurse and Managed Care specialist,
who successfully developed and sold similar companies in the US
between 1988 and 2000. Since moving to England, she has built a team
of healthcare professionals who assist in the development and delivery
of many initiatives undertaken by the public and private healthcare
sectors to improve treatment for patients in need of integrated health
and sickness care.
CareMax adapts and implements a cross section of US best practices to
local culture and policies in the UK and Continental Europe. Their
focus is working with the Department of Health, the Department of Work
and Pensions, Primary and Acute Care Trusts, GP Surgeries, Private
Medical Insurers and Employers.
