Southampton Science Park
today unveiled its new
Virtual Tenancy - the easy way to set up a professional address for your
company without the expense of having to rent or buy an actual office.
This innovative service is aimed at a wide range of organisations from
local start-ups to large multi-nationals who need a base in the UK.
Virtual Tenancy allows companies to enjoy
many of the benefits of residency at Southampton Science Park without the
commitment of taking on a lease. For a small fee, companies can use the
science park address, have a dedicated phone line answered in their name
and have access to a range of other services.
Don Fox, Chief Executive of the science
park said: 'With modern technology you can start a small business from
almost anywhere - all you need is email and a mobile phone. But as your
company grows you may find your priorities change: When your phone rings
you can't always be there to answer it; you'd like to invite clients to a
meeting but have nowhere to host it; your business card has your home
address; you'd like to give a presentation but don't have the A.V.
equipment. Virtual Tenancy at Southampton Science Park solves all these
problems.
How does it work?
Companies set up a simple agreement with Southampton Science Park
and pay a small monthly fee. This entitles them to
a range of services
- A dedicated phone line is answered in
your name
- Phone messages are forwarded by email
- Voicemail can be accessed remotely via a
password
- Free incoming faxes
- Use of fax machine for outgoing faxes
- Post is received on your behalf
Virtual tenants also have access to meeting
rooms, equipment hire, video conferencing and a photocopier for a small
extra charge.
For some companies this is a medium term
solution, for others it is an easy way to become familiar with operating
out of Southampton Science Park if they are thinking of becoming real tenants here.
