Southampton Science Park
has launched a new charity scheme this month. The whole
science park will now be recycling their spent ink cartridges and the
proceeds will go to Hope - the South's leading medical research charity.
The scheme is run in collaboration with
Romsey company MT Cartridges who recycle used ink cartridges and make a
donation to charity. Dr Don Fox, Chief Executive of Southampton Science Park
heard of a similar initiative and decided to help.
Companies in Chilworth's incubator were the
first to be involved and their response has been impressive - a large
number of cartridges have been collected in only one month.
And because this trial has been such a
success, the scheme will now be widened to involve the whole science park,
meaning bigger and better donations for Hope.
Dr Fox commented: "We're delighted to be
helping such a worthy local cause. Hope fund vital medical research on
everything from infant asthma to Alzheimer's and their work affects each and
every one of us. We're also keen to be environmentally friendly - recycling
our ink cartridges helps us to be greener as well as providing much-needed
funds to Hope."

cartridges to help Hope or any other charity please contact MT Cartridges on
